Sure for about $1000.00 more per home The Villages could install an AED in every home, but that still leaves lots of gaps.
1. While not difficult AEDs/CPR require some training.
2. If your home alone, it's not going to help. The idea behind AED program is to get trained help there as quick as possible. There is a 10% loss for every minute care is delayed.
The fire dept will make it to your home in 4-5 minutes, your neighbors in 2 minutes or less.
3. Even if you have an AED are you going to be calm enough to save a loved ones life.
For the cost on a lunch a year you can save a life.
