We rarely had to go down to the basement, unless we were all using the theater games. Then again with the walkout, you didn’t have to deal with many stairs.
Upstairs, I never went up until day before Thanksgiving. Kids could do whatever they wanted until Holidays when their “apartment” had to be spotless from Thanksgiving until January 2.
So with first floor master, it was one floor living I loved having the kids, their friends and company upstairs out of the way. If company didn’t like the stairs they stayed for less time
