I use GasBuddy and iExit and Gasbuddy prices are not always accurate, like manipulated. I went to a station in Fruitland park which had the lowest diesel at like $4.17 and the actual price when I got there was $4.59, i entered the correct price in Gasbuddy and the next day, the price was back dow to $4.17. . .
someone must be getting a free coffee every morning, or the owner thinks he is going to get more customers. . maybe once....
If you are financially able, you can buy 100 shares of UGA and offset the price increase with a hedge, and sell the 100 shares for the profit amount equal to the amount of gas you use in a year time the difference between the low price and say $4.00 a gallon divided by (1 - your incremental tax rate. . ) and pay for the increase for the next year with after tax profits.
personally i bought 200 shares. . as I have two vehicles and one is diesel truck, so I need a bit more hedging
getting into that retirement mentality of driving up to 100 miles to save those pennies. .
