Fill up your tank soon!

Regular gas at Neighborhood Walmart today was $3.09. Got a fill up to the top.

Absolutely appears that oil prices will be rising and gas too.

The Middle East situation and the lower domestic production will impact prices very soon. We are also going to increase importing Venezuelan oil. And the Strategic Oil Reserve of the USA is down by over 45% the last few years.

This is all converging…. Not good news for energy prices. hang on.

Just drove north from the Villages and the difference in gas prices in the states we drove through (state taxes) is amazing. Cheapest gas was $2.89 in South Carolina and most expensive was $3.99 in both Pennsylvania and New York. Prices in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, West Virginia, and Virginia were more than South Carolina, but still in the low to mid $3 range. Massachusetts is around $3.59. I didn’t check the price in the sliver of Maryland we passed through, but it’s typically close to the $3.99 states. Ironically, the worst road conditions we encountered during the 1,350 mile ride were easily in both Pennsylvania (Rt. 81 and 84) and New York (Rt. 84), the highest gas price states.

You do realize that the price of gas is the price of gas, and the difference among states is primarily taxes.

It’s amazing, to some people the sky never stops falling.

People think that they will not be able to fill up again so they have to top off.

In UK $6.42 a US.gallon. 5% ethanol.
Mainly taxes, but it's a lot cheaper than it was some time back!

I waited until my low gas light came on, therefore I am entitled to go first because my tank is lower than yours. How long did it really take for the car to put in 2 gallons? GMAFB!

Don't worry 3.2% should cover it.

MrFlorida 10-20-2023 07:37 AM

Please, don't start panic buying, we had enough during covid with toilet paper.

RICH1 10-20-2023 07:43 AM

Amen.

I recall one of the first gas "crises". 1971 or so. Gas had just gone up from $0.39 per gallon to $0.50 and people were irate. I know, because I was working nights at a gas station at the time while going to college classes during the day. Lots of really P.O.'ed people blaming whoever was handiest to blame. Most of the time, it was us.

Do you know how much $0.50 in 1971 would be worth today?

$3.61.

'Nuff said.

Keefelane66 10-20-2023 08:07 AM

We paid $2.91 at BJ’s with loyalty discount.

I thought England sold gas by liter?
