Timeshares are offered for as little as $1.00, all by people trying to get out from under the annual fees which always go up and never go down. And, when you die the timeshare transfers to your heirs in perpetuity (i.e. forever) whether they want it or not.

Timeshares, by the way, are the biggest scam in real estate. They sell the same unit for 50 weeks a year. Ours was $14,000 x 50=$700,000 for one unit. Our timeshare had 200 units x $700,000=$140,000,000. The annual fee started at $350 x 10,000 total weeks (50 x 200)= $3,500,000/year. And they need special assessments on top of that? Yeah, sure!
Not true, according to timesharerelease.com. They say:

"Remember, it is not in the power of one individual to unilaterally decide to remove their name from a timeshare and grant it to another through a Quit Claim Deed. Both parties need to have their consent and signature for the Deed to be of any use to get rid of a timeshare."
