Anyway the circumstance has nothing to do with legal gun ownership, by the majority who we would all be thankful they are armed. Guns are not the issue....the people who have them illegally are.
The gun is no more responsible for the violence than the eraser on a pencil is responsible for misspelled words.

To fill in the blanks...he pulled it when my back was turned heading back to my car. So I got back into my car and waited until he passed by, he still had the gun out. As I followed him, in my car, lucky for me he passed several people and he talked to them...with the gun out. At the police station he tried to say I had attempted to run him over with my car. (I wouldn't have hurt my Beamer) But that claim was refuted by the witnesses.... Then he actually admitted to pulling the gun. No license for the gun and no carry permit = weekend in jail. No bail money either. You also should know this occured in Manitou Springs, CO a sleepy little town of 7,000. We hadn't had a murder in years. This guy was a loner who was afraid of the world and felt he needed to have a gun when he walked around town.

On some of this I can agree...but access to guns can be an issue. Like the shooter at Virgina Tech....he had a history of mental illness no way should he have been able to buy a gun. If a man or women has a history of domestic violence they should NOT have access to a gun. Just look at the number of children killed this year by their father. I think just 2 weeks ago a family of 5 was wiped out.

This would just be common sense.
