I feel for those folks there, but Windermere “W” usually gets what they want. They are a mega giant US developer of real estate and I’m sure they will attempt to make it a classy place.
That whole area is ripe for commercial development. 44 and 44 A will be unrecognizable in 10 years.

Well, compared to what it was 10 years ago, it's unrecognizable now. Like all development, it's good for some people, bad for some people, and if successful, really really good for some people.
Most of us want development to proceed to a point where we feel our enjoyment has been maximized, and then stop. it almost never happens that way, though.
