Most are spade crimp lug, but I have seen a few with screw terminals. I was able to cut the existing wires just before the Yamaha connector to the original ignition switch, and make the connections to the new switch. NOTE: if you decide to do this yourself, some of the Yamaha carts have a switch with four (4) wires, I have not installed a universal switch on one of these yet, but I think it will work.
