Oh true, we can put anything in the trash anymore. My understanding was now NOTHING is sorted out of any kind, just all put into a big incinerator of some type, and burned; batteries, plastics, food, paper, etc. and "supposedly" a process makes sure none of those harmful fumes and particles reach the air ("scrubbers" they are called). That's why I was asking. Was just looking when I'm out and about to see if there are still bins for glass. Some bins still exist (Publix for instance) but ones for glass seem to have "disappeared" ? The urgency and passion for earth friendly practices like sorting and recycling items seems to have passed suddenly when there was not longer a huge profit to it ? ? ?
