The best solution for recyclable materials is ‘waste to energy’ - which is what is happening in the Villages since 2020.
The trash is burned at a plant built to covert to energy and the energy is transferred to the Duke energy grid
That's really interesting, I learn something often on this site. I did have a "hunch" that the urgency of recycling was somehow tied to profit for "someone somewhere".... I always felt somewhat guilty washing, cleaning, removing labels, etc. about the natural resources I WAS WASTING doing all we were told to do to get items ready for recycling pick up day !
