I feel your pain. As the proud (relatively new) owner of three such devices: iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch, I find it frustrating that every time one of them does an update, I have to spend time relearning processes that had just recently figured out.

There is help out there though. Barnes & Noble have those "dummy" books, designed especially for seniors; i.e. "iPad for Senior Dummies" on all three. They're pretty straightforward and easy to understand, though spendy. I have all of them and they do help.
