TO ALL, we found the problem, it turns out on this particular cart, the throttle position sensor is located at a different location from the power sensor switch. The replacement units have a microswitch (power) and the position sensor (0 to 5000 ohm variable resistor) mounted on the same unit. Neither of the replacement units will fit this cart. Upon further inspection I found the separately mounted microswitch was loose, and it would make a break as the cart was driven. Tightening the mounting screws fixed the problem.
