Except....Scheffler was waved through by the officer standing in front of him who was assigned to traffic control and was in possession of the memo from the department that players, staff, coaches and media should be waved around the obstruction. This moron detective with a god complex who was working the crash site ran up from behind the driver's side of the clearly marked courtesy car and grabbed the handle of a moving vehicle. I realize you may view him as a "brother in blue", but why defend this idiot's actions in this scenario? Even his own department reprimanded him. In addition, the 2 golf channel reporters that were 100 feet from the incident at the time stated the detective was using incredibly foul language, and upon Scheffler exiting the vehicle he slammed his head against the window. I was watching the first reports live on Golf Channel and heard exactly what they reported. The picture is now complete----a detective who was not working traffic, did not have the instructional memo, did not have his body camera turned on but was going to "prove" he was "in charge" and teach the "bad guy" a lesson---and chose to do so by an idiotic grab onto a moving vehicle. I suppose, in his own mind, he thought they'd pin a medal on him for his act of "bravery"
