Did you have a head injury? Did you recently travel? Are you in pain? Do you have a history of any chronic illnesses, previous GI surgeries, hepatitis, pancreatitis, hypertension, recent medication changes, etc etc etc.
So whether there is a bug going around means nothing.
And lastly, vomiting is one of the early symptoms of plague.

Great response to a somewhat "interesting" thread. I will mention however that in Central NY every August some form of viral gastroenteritis seemed to be "going around"
