We bought the cheapest Frigidaire refrigerator that Lowes sold about 10 years ago for the garage. It is still in service today after moving to our 2nd TV house. In both houses we had A/C outlets installed just for fridge and we had water plumbed for the ice maker. We have been in our current house for about 5 years - no problem with fridge or with ice maker. We installed on an inside wall, because it was easier to run the electric and the water (tapped in to water line that runs into hot water tank).

We have had a refrigerator or freezer in our garage for all our 40 years in Florida (from the panhandle to Naples and in between). We have never had a problem. After many years of good service, if they die we buy another cheap fridge. I think we are on our 3rd fridge. I think we moved the inside fridge out to the garage in one house and bought a new kitchen fridge.

Buy the fridge and find a good spot in the garage that gives easy access (we are in our garage fridge multiple times daily), but leave room for car, golf cart, yard tools, work bench, etc. We could not live without our garage fridge. A thought - we have flipped the door left to right open or right to left open when it made access easier.
