Tread depth is not the only thing to check on tires. Check the DOT number on the sidewall of each tire. The last 4 digits will tell you the week and year that the tire was made. Just an FYI regarding the tires. I agree with your statement but, does not apply in this case for me. Per the code on the tire, they were manufactured 6 mo's prior to my purchase early last year. We only buy new vehicles, never used. But your information is helpful to others I'm sure. Thank you
