I've got an attic mounted antenna with an external booster (attic is too hot and fried the last one I had with the internal booster). It's in my garage attic and feeds into my communications box in the garage. If you don't have that, getting the cables to where you need them will require more work.

Search "antenna" on this forum, and you will find plenty of examples of what people have done.

If you can use an OTA antenna for your local channels, then you can get a streaming service like Sling which doesn't have locals (unless you pay for them) and has two packages - Blue and Orange. You can buy one or both, but if you are just ok with one, it can save you some money.
