No signs of blowing out out rear main seals or valve covers? Not leaking right? If valve guides are leaking should be proofing smoke on start up. If blows blue smoke on hard acceleration probably rings? If bottom of van from bell housing back saturated with oil probably rear main seal leaking. Also if engine burning oil it should show up on spark plugs and tailpipe should be black sooted up?

I think you probably got 318 (5.2L) or 360 (5.9L) cu in engine in Rv. Those were very good engines.
