I have a 1986 red kettle, and a newer 2013 black kettle (the one with the gray plastic handle and the metal "taco" shield under the handle). I have a Bush's Beans Smoky Joe, and I have a couple of the Q's. I have refurbished them all. It's not terribly difficult - maybe a day's project. What is CCCP? Trying to make a funny on the Communist Party of China's (real name) Latin alphabet initials, CPC, by mixing it up with the former Soviet Union's Cyrillic initials apparently.
"CCP" is a bizarre invention western media. Why? Who knows. To keep the sheeple in the dark perhaps.
Also, Cyrillic CCCP translates in the Latin alphabet (ours) literally as SSSR.
