As a female golfer of about 7 years now, I have seen a lot of women golf. Everyone is different and the distance one can hit a ball is determined by many factors. So, to “listen” to some of these comments will not be beneficial for your wife.

My suggestions:
1. Make sure you attend a class on golf etiquette and rules - that will ensure that you are playing the game as it is intended to be played. It is also a courtesy to others that you are playing with.

2. Take a few lessons for the basics - grip, stance, basic swing. That will go a long way.

3. Buy a new set of clubs with some hybrids. I have a driver, 3, 5, and 7 wood (the woods are not used very often), 6 and 5 hybrid wood (that I use often) 7, 8, 9 iron, PW, SW, and putter. I don’t use every club each time I go out, but it is nice to have them if I want/need them.

4. Have fun! There will be days you will ask yourself “Why am I learning to play this game”. Give yourself grace and start over the next time with a fresh attitude.😀

Welcome to TV and I hope these comments have helped in someway.
