but the grill has a vent hood which serves a couple of functions. It prevents smoke from circulating around the grill which can stain the walls of your lanai, the smoke is funneled to the outside where it will not be blowing in peoples faces, and once smoke circulates on your lanai, over time the smell of smoke starts to permeate the walls, etc. I'm glad I went for the summer kitchen.
