Thanks for the replies! Before I read them, I went shopping for a rod and all the needed accessories and came home empty handed. Couldn't even make a decision about the diameter of the rod! After reading these posts, I think I will go with the cornice board. They may not be as popular as they have been in the past, but I do like them and think that they give the look I want.
