What's the deal with keeping your handicap down? It's supposed to be an accurate representation of your potential scores and the system does a fairly good job at calculating that.

I don't in any way want to keep my index artificially low, but I also don't want to be labelled a sandbagger. And that is what will happen if I show up to a money game at my home course with an extra couple of strokes and no degradation in my game. The system generally does a good job, but I mention a nuance of the system is that easy tracks often make your index go up.
