Over and above my outhouse design BB houses  . The roof was probably 1/2” craft wood like get at Lowe’s in planks I would imagine? Craft wood not cheap? Simple hand saw can cut easily if you have old wood for pattern? Then tac it together.
I made all my BB boxes with 1 (3/4”) inch wood with similar hand saw.

We bought in NC , builder called it a Bed & Breakfast, you can imagine my surprise when discovering that it fell off post and roof literally collapsed into many pieces, hoping to revive with a metal roof so it will survive fla weather, just not gifted in this field but open to any and all suggestions
