Instead of having to pay for cable or phone DSL at two homes all year, this device goes to both places and also anywhere in between. Cost is about the same as a 3 meg DSL service with the medical professional discount (15%, same as employee discount). We called to cancel our AT&T DSL here in Norcal. Were paying $24.95/mo for 1.5 meg service - the rep said they could offer it for $15.95 if we stayed on board.
We have a Sprint cell phone but I don't know if it is required to get the hot spot - think the hot spot is a stand alone device.

This sounds like a great alternative to DSL or Cable. If the throughout speed is as you indicated, I would opt for this option every time. How do you use it with 5 devices...is there a wireless router of some sort that you use? When on the road, what do you use on your laptop to connect to the service? I've used Verizon's aircard previously, so do you use something similar ???
I especially like the ability to be connected anywhere I go....
