Default Any damage to your neighborhood from last night's storm?

Apparently something around here got struck, there was the LOUDEST boom I've heard in a long time. The cable went out, no internet, no tv, no phone (I have Comcast for phone). Then this morning I discovered a tripped GFI in the garage, a dead surge suppressor in the office (it was at the end of its life span anyway) and those with Century Link in our neighborhood, no phone service. Seems either there was a strike at a Century Link box at a house a few doors over or a huge surge that damaged a couple of their boxes. Two work trucks are still in the neighborhood, they've been here since 10 this morning.

I was sitting in the living room watching the LSL cam on my computer until that lightning event. Interesting, outside my house would be illuminated by the lightning and the town square, on the cam, would be all lit up, too...

Last evening I was very happy to have a lightning protection system on my house. Dam, there's some pretty intense electrical storms around here.
