You know, I might me more ameliorable to the idea of carbon credits if people were more up-front as to where the damn money goes.

I, personally, wouldn't have a problem with the idea of taking extra revenues from 'dirty' sources to hgelp lower the costs of clean ones. As it is, being one of the 'early adopters' in technology, I know well about paying more for certain technologies when they're young. If not for the 'early adopter', the rest of the world would never be able to afford the advances in, say, computers that we now take for granted.

But you never really hear of where the money goes. And isn't the old canard: "Follow the money"?
