Though my ex-wife and I had a bitter divorce, there was certainly one area where we agreed. She was and still is VEHEMENTLY anti-union, at least in her job at the Post Office. She got that job on her own merits when it was Emery Air Freight (doing Priority Mail on contract for the USPS) and refused to join the union when it reverted to the USPS. Fortunately, working in New Hampshire, she could not be forced to join the union - but make no mistake, she's been harassed as a 'scab'. Funny thing is, her attendance is better than union members. And the union admits that they can't do 1/3 the work with more people than was being done when Emery was in charge.
