Finally, a posted question with great significance! Actually, I'm only half-kidding. With the hot temps down there, wasting beer could really add up. Where I grew up, wasting beer was considered some kind of sin.
A few years ago when I was still a beer drinker, we had these beer containers that we kept in the freezer. These beer holders had a layer of frozen ice that kept my beer cold for long periods of time. All my buddies were using them.
