For example...
Sometimes it is frustrating when we know we are honest, we feel like we have good proof and we are inconvenienced when we believe "common sense" should have prevail. However, taking a longer term view and considering the longer-term potential pitfalls, maybe common sense did prevail. It looks something like this:
We Goofed leads to Consequence leads to Lesson Learned leads to More careful next time, resulting in better and more consistent enforcement and fairness for all. Not bad. Sometimes I wish real common sense would prevail more often.
