This is a big country, and in may places people like Bachmann are considered to be complete screwballs. Palin couldn't even get her senate candidate elected in her home state. If the Republicans are smart they will nominate Romney, and have him run with a Condi Rice or someone of that ilk. I've had lifelong conservatives tell me that they would never vote for Palin. I suppose anything is possible. David Gergen recetly said that the only way Palin could beat Obama is if unemployment goes to 14-15%, and it doesn't look like that will happen. Are conservatives so desperate to regain the WH that they would nominate someone as ill-prepared as Palin. Obama may not have had the necessary experience, but there is no way you can question his intelligence or his temperament. Palin is neither smart, nor is she emotionally stable. I've read articles written by conservatives who describe her as paranoid, and almost delusional. She is not he answer.
