I have never had any of these problems associated with winning a large lottery , but I have bought tickets for others on occasion. The way I handled it was to tell them their numbers ahead of time, mostly so they could have the excitement of seeing the drawing, but it would handle any potential confusion or hard feelings.

It will be interesting if we ever learn the facts of this current case. If they are not careful, half the money will be gone in litigation, along with half of them before they get anything.
