I assume this will qualify. We left SoCal with my SUV full of household goods and clothes, while pulling a UHaul filled with about 25 plumeria plants. Every two hours we stopped to let the dog run around, stretch our legs, and for me to open the trailer and let the plants breathe. By the time we got to TV, the air inside the trailer was intoxicating because most of the plants were in bloom.
The first winter I thought I had lost most of the plants as they died all the way to the ground. But when I went to dig them up, the roots were alive, and the plants survived. Still have them. In fact, we extended our lanai 10X30 so that I have room for them to grow in pots during the summer and can bring them under cover during cold nights in the winter.
One of these days I'll have enough blooms to make some lei's.
