Remember that 30% of the electorate that support Perry. His problem--the problem of the GOP--is that he's aggravated or frightened such large blocks of voters, that he's unelectable in a General Election. He's gotta get more than 50% and his crazy and unsupported statements and campaigning almost guarantee that can't happen.
If the GOP doesn't come up with a candidate who can be supported by more than only the extreme right wing religious and fiscal fringe of the party, they're guaranteeing the re-election of Barack Obama. I sure hope someone comes to their senses--and soon!

I don't think you're listening well, in my opinion. Gov. Perry isn't the only one who feels the actions of the Treasury Secretary has been ruinous to our economy. He at least is pointing to problems and not just promising "hope and change"
Social Security will have to be dealt with and, if I remember, you were kvetching about it yourself rather voraciously in the past , and now you want to castigate Gov. Perry for talking about it? Really?
Gov. Perry, like most Christians (I'm not one of those) thinks that "marriage" should be between a man and a woman exclusively. You think the same way and somehow Gov. Perry is the neanderthal. What's your solution to this problem that you and Gov. Perry share? You want them to be lepers"
Gov. Perry's policy's have accounted for 50% of the job growth in the U.S. for the last 10 yrs. Who has a better record, regardless of the Democrat talking points you've proffered. Texas has become the "go to" state if you're trying to work instead giving up and going on the dole. Hence, it's unemployment rate doesn't drop much, but growth cannot be denied.
What you saying about Gov. Perry in your last paragraph are the same Democrat talking points they threw against the wall when it came to Gov. Ronald Reagan. It will fail again.
