Well, he's the only one who is speaking beyond hyperbole. Something drastic needs to be done. There's no more time for half-baked ideas.
Even if just one of the candidates would campaign on the promise to drag the country back to the levels of of spending and taxation of 2007, as some have proposed in the conservative media, would be a solid plan.
