I used to cook for my golden retriever mix, Max when he was alive. Dog food, no matter what the brand, wasn't good for his skin. Poor puppy loved dog food, but didn't do well with it. I cooked for him for years and he loved the food. I remember one time we took him to the boarding kennel. We were going to be away for a week or so. I brought along his food, individual servings, cooked and frozen, for his meals...they just had to be microwaved. When I returned to pick him up, the kennel staff said they felt Max ate better than they did...
I miss that puppy, he was a great dog and he'd eat most of what I made for him,.....except zucchini...that was in and out of his mouth faster than you could say his name!
