I filed a complaint with Crimes against Seniors three years ago against a general contractor who hired subs to do the work and by the time they were done my living room ceiling came down and my new patio cracked and is falling apart. My husband had to put the ceiling back together. It was a nightmare and very costly in the end. Crimes against Seniors filed the complaints and were very helpful to us. I must say that when I went after the cement people they could not be found. The general contractor is still in business under the same name. Crimes told me that those sub contractors change their names and continue to work in The Villages and elsewhere. It is scary out there - I suggest to always make sure they are insured and licensed. Some of them have a piece of paper saying they are insured and are not. I was told to always check them out by calling their insurance company.
