Keys probably were in cart... many leave their keys in the cart when the cart is in the garage. It's pretty dark at 5:30 and leaving the garage door open was out of the norm...it is generally shut. Once a cart is pushed out of the garage, (no back up beeper sounds were heard), and it's on the street, just start it up and drive away!
This had to be an opportunity event. We have lots of walkers in our area, but maybe not in the still dark hours of early morning.
