Default Home decorating

I agree that you should decorate with how ever it fits your lifestyle. With that said, I found a site on line with model homes from California (and all over). All of them had the furniture facing away from the view outside and toward a wall where they put a tv and fireplace. This also goes along with what the decorator said in those classes people are taking. I think a good compromise would be switch things around after you get sick of looking at the view. We women love to change our rooms around. I know I do and maybe for 6 months you look at the tv on the wall and the next 6 months you look out back. It's whatever floats your boat. After looking at probably a hundred model home decors on line I also figured out that it's ok to mix light and dark furniture....I mean the wood. White with cherry, brown with white. I was stuck on the fact that all of my furniture wood throughout the house had to match until I got over myself!! By the way, the site is Standard Pacific Homes. If you look up model homes you'll find some nice decorating. You have to navigate the site a bit so be patient. It's worth it! Ok, I'm done blabbing....
