My ASI Homeowners policy took pretty much the same hike. I emailed the agent and asked her to take a look around for a policy with the same or better coverage. She got back to me saying that she didn't have another company who would provide the sink-hole coverage like what is included with ASI. She did give me a quote without the sink-hole coverage with another company and it was less than the previous 2011 premium with ASI. I really don't think I should not have the sinkhole coverage. I guess I'll be looking with other agencies. I have heard nothing but good things about ASI, especially when the tornado hit south of 466 in 2007. I hate when they pull this crap! Even with the increase it is far cheaper than I was paying up north 12 years ago on a comparably priced home. Don't they know I have better things to do than look for insurance. I have priorities you know!
