We didn't have to turn on our central heat this winter but maybe ten days total, our electric bills were all in the $90's. A masonry CYV is pretty well insulated. Most mornings to take the chill off in the living room I would just put on a small space heater (Holmes) and with the ceiling fan on reverse, turn it on and it would circulate the heat throughout the LR, DR and kitchen in no time.
In the summer with turning on the same LR fan, and with both BR's having fans, we usually kept our A/C on 80 or 81 degrees. If I turned it to 79 it would get too cold.
