That particularly concerns me as I have never encountered this anywhere I have lived. I also pay to have my lawn fertilized and maintained. But if a dog relieves itself on my lawn, I have no problem unless the owner fails to pick up after their pet. In all my years here, I have never had grass, nor flowers nor trees ruined. So where in TV can a person walk a dog a few miles without offending someone along the way? We do use our own yard whenever possible, but I like to give them some exercise out of doors as recommended by our vet. I avoid dog parks for the reason I stated above, so I am now rethinking my visit here. While I would never let my animals use someone's garden as a toilet, mature trees and grass are kind of unavoidable unless I carry them around. I always pick up, and dispose of my waste at home, or in a proper receptacle out of the way of shops, playgrounds, etc.
Thanks for your honest replies. I understand your views, and don't wish to encounter any animosity amongst neighbors, so I have a lot to think about
