Disclaimer. We own a dog, we have always owned dogs and they become part of our family.
Here is my unofficial poll for Thursday. I had some stuff to do on the computer this AM, here is what I observed out my front window:
In summary, I had no idea how much dog traffic was on my road. Found ONE instance of a handler that had control of his dogs.
- 7:15 Two barking dogs barking in the yard of a villa directly behind our home. Let out with no supervision at 7:15 AM.
- 7:26 Woman walking two dogs, one large, one small. Large dog is up in plantings of neighbor across street, marks bushes (15+ feet into property). I asked her very politely a few weeks ago to not do this in my yard. Since then she has used the home across the street.
- 7:43 Man walking small dog. Dog using yards along the way, only in yards by a couple of feet.
- 7:50 Woman walking little dog, peed in my yard, 2 feet onto grass.
- 7:56 Man with one larger dog in my plant bed 15 feet from road sniffing…. no deposit, maybe next yard….
- 8:03 Stop the presses. Man walks by with two dogs on leash and under control…

- 8:03 Man coming other way with little dog at end of leash barking at two behaved dogs, this dog marking most yards…
I need to head out now. I suspect the dog owners that do the right thing will be by later
