I choose to look beyond any FDA accusations. I have used some of Dr. Mercola's products over the years, and found them to be useful. I have been a subscriber since the inception and found that it was a useful site to get very current info from developers, researchers and other people in related areas of health and life. I have found that in the long run, things I have heard or read on the site have been shown to have merit (eg. higher doses of Vit D) long before it becomes both popular and accurate according to the general medical community.

I cannot even go to the place of following FDA recommendations as I have yet to find them useful and since learning years ago about the connection between the FDA and Monsanto and following the dots, I still feel as strongly about how the public is being led by $$$.

It amazes me how some very intelligent, educated, well-intended people, give their power away and trust their lives to others when they can get the information and learn and decide for themselves. I believe there is a place for the use of pharmaceuticals, but only as a last resort. I also believe that the tried and true practices of TCM and Homeopathy which are far older than Western Medicine, can keep most people in a better state of true health.

As for as Quackwatch, I can't even begin to go there. If that is a site that someone feels drawn to for their information, then we are on very different paths and it would be a challenge for me to have an intelligent conversation as it is so far from how I am moving in the world.

That being said, I am glad that more people are at least searching for info. I keep remembering how new ideas are usually, ignored, ridiculed and/or rejected, before they become commonly accepted. It makes me happy to know that more and more people are becoming interested in self direction. After all, life is really about living the choices we make, whether we choose consciously or by default. I'm doing my best to live consciously and I see more and more who are making the same choice. Heck, we all chose one way or the other to live in TV!
