Regardless, was looking for comments on playing through (jumping ahead a single hole) and then holding back the group you just passed? When you play through, simple courtesy says, you should demonstrate an awareness for those behind you. This happened to us on De La Vista a few weeks back as well, where a single golfer jumped ahead of us on #7, as we were playing #6. He proceded to play several balls all the way to the green - of course holding us up on the #7 tee for over 10 minutes. C'mon folks get some golf courtesy, learn golf etiquette. Fortunately running into these knuckleheads on the courses seems to be the exception.
I think you'll see more of this in the evening when people are rushing to get their game in before dark. I see alot of skipping holes and replaying the same hole, etc. in the evening. It doesn't bother me as I figure I wouldn't get in 9 holes anyhow. I think it is good to make sure you never hold up those behind you at any time if you can help it.
