Just to set the record straight, when I first subscribed to Mercola, it was before he was selling products. He was one of the first to go on the internet and his goal was to educate more people about how to take personal responsibility for one's health and he wanted to let people know that "big brother" was not watching out for us. I found his interviews with the researchers and developers most interesting and I still feel that his research team does a good job of keeping abreast of what is actually going on.
Over the years as the product list grew, I too became disenchanted, however, I would always find interesting facts in the articles that would be hard to research for myself. His link to the VIt D council newsletter, long before the need for more Vit D became more public, has been invaluable.
At one point I put the letter on "spam" just to reduce the inbox stuff and I was dropped from the subscription list. When I started to realize that I wasn't getting the info, I called to resubscribe, even though I usually get my products from other sources. I did get the Air Purifier which to me is the best one on the market and it was at the best price. Although it is a portable, it still does the whole house.
I am very conscious of what some others think of the info from Mercola, but my strategy is to read and feel for myself what resonates with all the other info that I have learned and am getting.
The whole paradigm of health, healing and wellness is changing and shifting as more info and understanding about quantum theory and vibrational medicine becomes more understood and widespread. I think that Mercola has a good sense of that and is open to sharing what he feels will be useful. Too much info will affect the readership as he knows that even people who read his newsletter are on different parts of the path to wellness and self-direction. His 7 steps to good health plan does not require the purchasing of any of his products and they are not so "weird" that more people can work the plan, so that will mean that more people will continue down the path which is his mission - taking responsibility for one's own health and life.
If his approach doesn't feel right, it doesn't necessarily mean that it is wrong.
We all are not be at the same point in our journey so at any given moment in time, there will be things that are not "right" for everyone. However, when you have read something, it adds to your total world view, and as your picture enlarges, those bits of info that may not have made sense before, might just be the pieces that you need to make sense of some new info that you have received. How many time have you remembered something that you "heard somewhere" that at the time didn't make any sense and later you realize how it relates to you. So my philosophy is not to throw the baby out with the bath and remember about the ridicule, reject and ignore before acceptance saying.
Sorry for the long hijack. I just felt I needed to clarify my position. I hope I'm not as "weird" as some seem to feel, although I know that I am somewhat "out there".........but life is good and TV is a big place! There's room for us all.

I hear you. I appreciate your input. A friend had recommended his site to me when we were discussing free range chicken (in person); I went to the site later and had some questions which no one ever responded to.
I wasn't confident or certain that this wasn't an abandoned website just floating around in cyberspace.
I understand what you mean by being selective in choosing various products. I thought I wanted that latest gizmo which I believe is an infrared, hand held device, for arthritic knees, etc............received it as a gift.......it would be nice if it was larger or I didn't have to hold it in place with the arthritic wrist. Can't win. It wasn't purchased from Mercola, but some other website............the heat is soothing......but it's teeny tiny......later Dr. Oz showed the same gizmo. Or similar.
Mine was the:
LED Technologies DPL Nuve Handheld Light Therapy Device
It was well over $150............at the time, it was being sold for arthritic pain; now I see it's being sold for "wrinkles". Obviously, I'm not using it.
So, I do hear you about being selective with these products.............................
I always liked Oz when he was on Oprah..........but his new show, as others have noted to me as well........seems to be a mass advertising campaign for various supplements, etc.
Has anyone out there tried "JOINT JUICE" which Joe Montana advertises on t.v.? It has no shellfish in it's glucosamine chondroitin formula.....just "corn". They answered me immediately........so to me that's a sign of a viable website.........it was a real person, not a form letter emailing............
