certain posters and wealthy individuals an corporations want us tobelieve they made it on their own with lots of hard work. The hard work part I have no problem with but this independent,on myown,no help stuff has got to stop. These groups of people and organizations get more help from governments that tey care to share. Security, laws and deregulations, research and infrastructure, subsidies that I call corporate welfare, and finally disaster relief. 1.3 trillion in tax expenditures go to the top 5% taxpayers. 250 billion a year go to the top 1%. Mortage interest and rental expense deductions return almost 100 million a year to millionaires. 280 Fortune companies which together paid only half the maximum 35% taxate recieved 223 billion in tax subsidies. Finally, taxes are payment for societies many benefits which get bigger and better as people get richer. The rich get far more that us,far more.
And a final finally...the Bush tax cuts were passd under the assumption that giving the wealthy a tax break would create jobs. WHERE ARE THE JOBS?
