I attended the Ryder Cup in 1999 and I have to say that it is the most exciting golf competition of them all. Probably because of the us versus them dynamic. In most golf tournaments the viewer doesn't really have a horse in the race unless they know a player personally. The Ryder Cup is different. It's more like baseball or football where people are rooting for their team and against the other team.
But of the traditional golf tournaments I'd have to say that it's a tossup between the Masters and the US Open for me.
