Even though I have no idea who Gregg Braden is, this reminded me of when I taught as an adjunct in a major university system many decades ago (ouch!). I became good friends with one of my colleagues, and our sons became good friends too. I was never very good at mathematics; I thought that Tropic of Calculus was an X-rated book….

At age eight my friend’s son was able to teach me the basic principles of binary mathematics by explaining the concept, which for me was a challenge, in an eight-year-old’s language! After graduation from MIT, he joined Bill Gates’ team and went on to be one of the developers of Excel, while goodness knows how I still remember his binary math explanation!
