We use raid bug barrier around the outside of the house and around entry points. Never ever have had problems with ants. Only isolated time was when we were in wisconsin and it got so hot that summer we had one trail come in the front door right up into the candy dish with M&M's. LOL. So much for those...sprayed and never saw them again
